An exciting new conference, themed on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s book The Vital Message (1919), is to take place at Findhorn. This follows on from the launch of the book THE VIEW: Mind Over Matter, Heart Over Mind – From Conan Doyle to Conversations With God (Editor: Dave Patrick, published by Polair Publishing), which marked the 150th Anniversary of his birth, on 22 May 2009, and which used “The Vital Message” as the focus for its 29 contributors.
Best known as the creator of fictional detective Sherlock Holmes, Sir Arthur led a full and varied life underpinned by strong spiritual values.
This conference provides an opportunity for delegates to explore Sir Arthur’s vital message of our ability to open up to a higher level of consciousness. Through enhancing our family and community relationships and co-creating with nature instead of destroying it, we can create a ‘ripple effect’ of love and compassion.
A range of inspiring speakers will be participating at the conference. The keynote speaker is Birgitta Jónsdóttir (pictured, above left), Icelandic MP and Leader of the country’s Movement Party. She has been leading the fight for justice for the Icelandic people (Iceland has a population of under 320,000) in the wake of the country’s recent financial meltdown, and is also a prime mover in the setting up of the Icelandic Modern Media Initiative (IMMI), being formed to create a safe haven for investigative journalism.
Of particular interest to Anthroposophists and other followers of Rudolf Steiner’s work and philosophy, is author Sylvia Francke, whose book The Tree of Life and the Holy Grail attempted to answer the mystery of Rennes-le-Château from the perspective of Steiner’s Anthroposophy. Sylvia will explain how the death of her daughter Helen aged 11 in 1982, and the events which followed, became the driving force for writing her book.
Closer to home, Crystal Skulls expert Kathleen Murray, Director of the Academy for Crystal and Natural Healing in Rhynie, Aberdeenshire, will provide an update on the Crystal Skulls and what the new information means for 2012 and beyond.
Drew Pryde is the Chairman of the Scottish Institute for Business Leaders (SIBL), and is passionate about encouraging spirituality in Business. A contributor to THE VIEW (‘Don’t Push The River’), he has had a remarkable healing journey, making a 100% recovery from a medical condition labelled ‘incurable’ by the medical mainstream. His reinstatement to full health was assisted by the treatment of vibrational medicine practitioner Dr Helen Petrow from Nairn, another contributor to THE VIEW.
Tom Richardson represents Share International on whose behalf he has been giving talks around the country about the appearance of the Maitreya, the World Teacher. Tom reveals that Maitreya has already given eight interviews live on American television and is currently conducting further interviews around the world.
Randy Klinger, Director of the Moray Art Centre, will open the event by sharing his inspirational journey from his initial vision of creating the Centre to its ultimate manifestation in practical reality.
Following on from the publication of THE VIEW last year, and the positive reviews it has received (Kindred Spirit magazine awarded it 4 Stars “Excellent”, saying it was “Essential reading for anyone interested in the future of humankind and spirituality”), I am delighted that the momentum will be maintained with this conference.
Apart from making this an annual event, albeit on a small scale this year to get it established, it is my intention to run other conferences and events in between the annual events – for example, "The Vital Message for Health” and "The Vital Message for Business". I would also like "The Vital Message" concept to be engaging, getting people to share stories, create artwork, make videos, compose music, and get it into schools and communities, making it an interactive and ongoing process – so it is definitely no coincidence the first conference will take place in the Moray Art Centre.
I also see this conference being very complementary with the Shen Foundation “Beyond 2012: A New Civilization Conference" taking place in Nairn earlier that week (17-19 May), and whose keynote speaker Nassim Haramein was referenced in THE VIEW – a great example of synchronicity!
